Biography Paul Todd Merrill, PE is a Senior Project Engineer and Director of Sustainable Construction with Clayco, a St. Louis real estate, architecture and engineering, design-build and construction firm. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri in 1981 and is a registered professional engineer in 15 states.

Paul is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional and has specialized in green building design and construction practices with Clayco. Paul directs the sustainable education efforts within Clayco.

LEED-AP-ALOOZA

Quarterly, Clayco hosts a two day training session for employees, clients, subcontractors, developers, building owners, etc. on the USGBC LEED Accredited Professional Examination.  Since 2006, the event has trained over 250 individuals on the procedures for planning, designing, constructing and the LEED Green Building Rating System requirements.

LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process. LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System. More than 43,000 people have earned the credential since the Professional Accreditation program was launched in 2001.
