Clayco has always understood the critical importance of safety. However, since the early 1990s it has been our endeavor to develop a truly elite safety organization that differentiates Clayco from its competitors. We are constantly working to achieve this elite status through a program that embodies all of the following:

- Accident Prevention, with a strong emphasis on training.
- Aggressive Claims Management that minimizes costs but includes the very best in medical care and rapid return to work objectives.
- A Safety Reporting System that includes accountability at all levels of the organization.
- A Safety Incentive System that recognizes and rewards safety excellence.
The results speak for themselves and we are proud to list some of our most notable safety facts:
- Our OSHA lost workday incident rate has decreased in the last 5 years.
- On our rolling contractor controlled insurance program, we achieved a 0.90 Lost Workday Incident Rate compared to our peer group average of 1.79.
- Experience Modification Rate has been well below market average for the past seven years.
Our current EMR is 0.59 – This is AWESOME!
- Clayco has full time safety professionals and an entire trained staff with unsurpassed safety experience.
- Clayco has been the industry leader in developing and enforcing a Substance Abuse Program. Our written policy includes an employee education and awareness program, a supervisory training program and an Employee Assistance Program. Our Substance Abuse Program requires drug and alcohol testing of all employees, including pre- employment, random, cause and post-accident.
