Clayco and Forum provided design-build services for Kraft Foods’ 864,873-square-foot distribution facility. Constructed using load-bearing precast walls with a steel supported roof structure, the single-level distribution facility includes both dry storage and air-conditioned space. Kraft’s dry goods area contains approximately 800,000 square feet with 32-foot clear-height ceilings and 88 dock doors. The 16,000-square-foot office space includes conference rooms, a lunchroom, a computer room and support spaces. The remaining space, about 50,000 square feet, is air-conditioned storage. Parking is available for 240 passenger vehicles and 400 trailers. Dry and packaged foods, cookies and candies from both Kraft and Nabisco are stored in and distributed from this location.
