Project Description

Clayco and Forum provided design-build services for Caterpillar’s North American Hydraulic Excavator Plant, buildings A, B and Z. Located west of Houston, the facility was constructed using a tilt-up concrete wall system. The facility provides subassembly, assembly, painting and final inspections of various models of hydraulic excavators. The single-story plant features more than 900,000 square feet of space, a central chilled water plant and water reclaim system, assembly conveyors, industrial paint lines and an extensive overhead crane system.
