The Arkansas Research Technology building is a two-story, 60,000-square-foot laboratory/office facility developed at the Arkansas Research Technology Park in Fayetteville. In an effort to attract and retain the best research and development academics, the University of Arkansas Technology Development Foundation created this building to provide the scientists with high-end laboratory space to continue their work.
The building was built by Clayco, developed by Real Estate Services and designed by Forum. The primary programmatic element of the building is laboratory space, however, all relevant systems were designed to offer as much flexibility and diversity as possible. Space planning efforts included wet and dry lab functions, typical office use, and a two-story atrium with a grand staircase that acts as a meeting space and is intended to host interaction and communication between tenants.
