Infrastructure Repair - Clayco - 270 and Marine Bridge

270 and Marine Bridge

Project Description

Clayco performed this bridge deck restoration project in 6 stages to allow traffic flow through the project area. Major scope items included nearly 5000-square-feet of structural concrete deck repairs and 23,000-square-feet of LowP concrete deck overlay. This was the first project in the St. Louis Country where Low P Concrete Deck Overlay was used with an embedded Cathodic Protection System. All concrete was produced on-site using our Volumetric Mobile Mixers. Concrete Strategies worked 2-10 hours shifts, 6 days per week to complete project ahead of schedule. Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) allowed 90 calendar days for lane closures and the project was completed in just 72 days and eared the maximum monetary incentive from MODOT. This project was awarded the International Concrete Repair Institute – 2011 Award of Excellence in the Transportation Category.
