Clayco Completes Renovation of O Bee Credit Union New Space Will Create More Efficient and Functional Layout
CHICAGO (September 30, 2012) – Clayco, Inc. has recently completed the main branch renovation for O Bee Credit Union in Turnwater, Wash. The renovation of the branch included creating additional office space and a more efficient layout, while increasing the number of work stations for employees.
The credit union had an existing “sit down” teller line, which did not use the space effectively. Clayco created a standing line, which is more efficient and saves time for members. A new office was added in the lobby, along with updated finish work throughout the interior of the building.
New interior wall covering graphics were created using the credit union’s unique branding art work and advertisements from the old Olympia Brewery. O Bee Credit Union started as Olympia Brewing Company Employees and Families Credit Union and became a chartered organization in 1955.
“The history of this credit union is fascinating,” said Project Director Tom Mooney. “The many historical interior elements made it a very interesting project. Clayco is committed to maintaining historical perspective on our projects, as much as is possible,” he added.
This is Clayco’s second project with O Bee. The first project was the renovation of an existing leased space in Olympia for a new branch location.
Partners in this project included Forum Studio as architects and G&W as engineers.
