Clayco Begins Expansion of Houston Police Federal Credit Union Large Branch Will Serve as Main Office to House Administrative Functions
CHICAGO (December 11, 2012) – Clayco, Inc. has begun work on an addition and renovations to the Houston Police Federal Credit Union in Houston, TX. The 21,000 square-foot addition is expected to be completed in January 2014, along with renovations to the existing 23,000 square-foot facility.
The additional space will allow the Credit Union to better serve members and provide for future growth, while functioning as the main office branch. This project will relocate the drive-up facility to the main building, which was previously isolated.
“Clayco assisted the Credit Union with the purchase of the land between the main building and the drive-up to bring the whole site together. It adds efficiency and makes it more convenient for members and employees,” said Project Director, Tom Mooney.
One challenge associated with this project is keeping the facility operational during the building process
“It is important to not be disruptive to everyday operations,” said Mooney. “We must carefully coordinate the process to keep the Credit Union functional as construction is taking place.”
“While this project will result in increased efficiency of our current employees, it will also allow us to add staff to serve the growing needs of our members in today’s complex financial environment,” said Credit Union President, Ayn Kleiber-Talley.
