Planters Bank and Trust Co. selected Clayco as its design-build partner for a new main branch facility in Greenwood, Miss. The 7,700-square-foot facility became the bank’s primary administrative office in Greenwood and replaced an existing leased branch down the street. The building was designed to be traditional in appearance to imitate the established architecture of the area.

The new Planters Bank building includes traditional construction elements such as operable wood shutters, copper gutters, and masonry accents on the brick exterior. The interior contains raised wood panel doors, crown molding, and wood trim with intricate rosettes and plinths. Additionally, convenient banking services are offered in the new facility, including walk-up and sit-down lobby tellers, drive-up tellers with two-way video screens, safe deposit boxes, and personal banking services. A large meeting room on the end of the building allows outside groups to use it without entering the banking area.
