Project Description
Clayco provided design-build services for a new main office and branch facility for Pacific Marine Credit Union, a credit union established in 1952 to serve the financial needs of Marines, sailors and civilians. Tilt-up concrete construction was carried out for this 56,700-square-foot, two-story financial facility with a two-story entrance atrium surrounded by glass guardrails on the second level. A credit union branch and ATM options on the ground floor, along with general administrative offices for the credit union throughout the remainder of the building, are provided to accommodate the financial needs of its members and the business requirements of its employees. The project is designed for the possible addition of a third floor at a later date.
Pacific Marine’s main office and branch facility was built to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The facility will have more than 26 percent better energy efficiency than the standard in California. Energy-efficient credits include the use of materials with high recycled content, designs for long-term high energy efficiency, installation of exterior sun shades to reduce the solar heat impact within the building while allowing the maximum use of natural light, and ample views to the exterior.
