The Arkansas Research and Technology building, a two story, LEED Certified 60,000-square-foot laboratory/office developed by Clayco in a joint venture with IDEA Partnerships. The University of Arkansas desires to attract and retain research and development talent with a showcase building that would support their researchers’ laboratory work. While the University had land, they did not want to own the laboratory building. By teaming with Clayco to design, finance, and construct the project, the University is able to provide this much needed space without spending its own capital. Clayco provided an attractive development package which combines New Market Tax Credits, conventional financing, a land lease for the property, and a University master lease for the facility.
