Clayco to Begin Construction of Gainesville Branch for Northwest Federal Credit Union

Chicago, Ill. (August 10, 2011) – Clayco Inc. is scheduled to begin construction of a new 5,000-square-foot full-service branch facility for Northwest Federal Credit Union in Gainesville, Virginia. Located at Lee Highway (U.S. Route 29) and Webb Drive, the building will be the credit union’s second branch in Prince William County, Virginia.

The single-story brick credit union will feature time-saving amenities such as a two-way video drive-thru, 24-hour drive-up ATM, a full-service night depository and safe deposit boxes with a state-of-the-art hand-entry system allowing the member self-service access to their box anytime the facility is open. Other innovative solutions include automatic teller cash dispensers and point-to-point transaction tubes allowing the member service representative to handle all of the member’s transactions.

“This facility will offer Northwest Federal Credit Union members cutting-edge technology to manage their financial needs,” said Paul Barrath, Business Unit Leader for Financial Facilities at Clayco and Project Executive. “Preparing this site for construction was a difficult process that included more than 18 months of approvals and the removal of a retention pond, but the efforts will be worthwhile. The new branch is logistically and strategically positioned to offer convenience to members in every interaction.”

Construction on the new financial facility begins in August 2011 with expected completion in first quarter 2012. The design-build facility will be Clayco’s third project for the credit union.

Along with Barrath, Clayco’s project team will include William Beck, Superintendent; Matt Montgomery, Project Manager; and Clarence Steele, Senior Designer. Frank Wiseman from Forum Studio is the Project Architect and Interior Designer.

“We look forward to partnering with Clayco as we expand our services to our members and businesses in the Prince William County community,” said Gerrianne “Winky” Burks, President and CEO at Northwest Federal Credit Union.
