Clayco Plans New Caterpillar Parts Distribution Center
St. Louis, MO (April 14, 2010)
Clayco Inc. has been named design-builder by Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc. for a new parts distribution facility in Clayton, Ohio.
Located just northwest of Dayton, Ohio, the Clayton Distribution Center will feature more than one million-square-feet of space and provide inbound processing operations for supplier receipts and service parts warehousing and distribution for Caterpillar dealers serviced by this facility. The single story facility will be constructed using a tilt-up concrete wall system and include a 30-foot clear height structure, skylights and clear story windows, paint lines and an extensive overhead crane system. The project is expected to be completed in early 2011.
“We are excited to be working on another project in the greater Dayton area. The quality of the local work force, along with the support of the Economic Development group and local government agencies, no doubt, was a significant factor in Caterpillar choosing the site in Clayton,” said Dave Moses, executive vice president and partner at Clayco.
Clayco’s team, led by Moses, includes project executive Anthony Johnson and project director Brad Cvengros. Joining Clayco on the project, Forum Studio is serving as the architect and interior designer, Stock & Associates Consulting Engineers Inc. is acting as the civil engineer, and Alper Audi Inc. is the structural engineer.
