Russ has over 25 years of diversified design-build experience and has held several leadership positions with an emphasis on the healthcare industry having led over $1 billion in national healthcare projects. Russ collaborates with clients and Clayco’s leadership to promote collaboration across Clayco and its subsidiaries and innovation within business units for projects across the country. Russ ensures that a client’s vision is understood in every step of the process.
Kevin leads Clayco’s Chicago office, rated one of the best places to work in Illinois. Kevin has led major projects for clients all over the country, including more than 20 in Illinois alone. He ensures that Clayco’s innovative, collaborative approach to delivering results for clients is carried out not only in the Chicago area but across the country.
Kirk leads the company's overall Business Development effort working closely across all market sectors. His 15-year career as an architect prior to joining Clayco in 1997 allows him to be the perfect advocate for the innovative and collaborative project delivery method that is the foundation of Clayco’s integrated approach. He looks for clients, projects and relationships that understand and embrace the partnering concepts. Kirk leads many of the market segment teams in pursuit of great opportunities and works with all of the Business Unit Leaders in their effort to deliver impactful results for our clients.
Tony is responsible for the financial overview of the Company and its affiliates. He has over 20 years experience as a Chief Financial Officer in both privately held and public companies. He brings to the Company extensive experience in finance, mergers & acquisitions, and risk management. During his career he has consummated over 300 acquisitions, led a successful IPO, and completed multiple bank financings. Certified by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Institute of Management Accountants, Tony holds CPA, CGMA, and CMA designations.
Tom has led the integration of real estate services into each of Clayco’s business units since 1998, driving an important part of Clayco’s innovative, collaborative approach to delivering results for clients in all of Clayco’s business units. Tom has expertise in all facets of commercial real estate, including capital acquisition, asset acquisition/disposition, site selection/incentive negotiations, development and consulting, joint venture structures, marketing, brokerage, investment sales and land development. Under Tom’s watch, Clayco has developed over 20 million square feet of real estate totaling more than $1.5 billion in volume and land developments in excess of 4,000 acres.
Caroline leads Clayco’s legal team with the simple goal of delivering fair, efficient, collaborative, and streamlined contracts and other legal documents necessary for Clayco to deliver on-time and as-promised to its clients. Clayco’s legal team touches nearly every aspect of its business and its people, with a continued effort to provide no-nonsense real life solutions for our clients and their communities. Caroline is deeply committed to exceeding Clayco’s philosophy that its work and role in the community results in powerful structures with impacts that reach ‘far beyond these walls’.
Tom has over 20 years of experience in managing and overseeing some of the most challenging corporate office projects in the country. Our success has been built upon exceeding our customer's expectations on every single project. Tom oversees corporate projects that are delivered in timeframes that normally cannot be met. His extensive experience in partnering with clients and all of the team members to find the best, most cost-effective solution has been a hallmark of his success time and again. His transparent management style is part of Clayco’s culture and it allows our corporate customers to feel confident and stay focused on their business, knowing that their building project is in the hands of the best team.
Clayco built its reputation early on by building complex distribution and warehouse facilities for some of the world’s largest companies. Dave has been there from the very beginning and has helped shape what has become the strongest building portfolio of manufacturing and warehouse facilities in the country. His critical knowledge of site/utility design, concrete steel and FP/mechanical/electrical systems are key factors in helping Dave successfully oversee large, complex, industrial facilities across the country. His experience and performance are key factors in building Clayco’s reputation of “doing what we say we will do” and never missing a deadline.
Steve ensures that Clayco’s fully integrated, collaborative approach is carried out across all business units and projects. With more than 20 years of operations and project management experience, Steve oversees Clayco’s rigorous construction management team. He ensures projects receive tight fiscal responsibility and unparalleled project management to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, on budget and above and beyond expectations.
Jay Longo is President of Forum Studio. He oversees business strategy, client relations, and project work for the full-service firm. A renowned designer, Longo's extensive portfolio includes single and multi-family residential buildings, high-rise commercial office buildings, corporate headquarters, university science classrooms and laboratories, audio and post-production film studios, community centers, elementary schools, mixed-use retail centers, urban master plans and office interior spaces across the United States and in Mexico and Asia. Longo was previously principal and design director at Gensler, where he also co-led its headquarters practice area.
An early adopter of sustainable design, Longo became a LEED accredited professional and led one of the first projects through the City of Chicago’s Green Permit Program. His design integrated many green technologies, including rainwater harvesting, bioswales, solar arrays, geothermal heating and cooling, underfloor air, daylight harvesting, green roofs, facade technologies, and low impact / reclaimed materials. As an environmental advocate, he has spoken before the Chicago Architecture Foundation, Chicago History Museum, USGBC Chicago Chapter, Green Build, University of Illinois in Chicago and Champagne. He has been interviewed on NPR public radio and public television station WTTW.
His work has also focused on the social impact of design. He believes how people interact, congregate, move, celebrate and work, as influenced by shaping space, can create results greater than the physical realities of a place. Beauty lies in this interaction between people and architecture, giving purpose and life to the physical forms and spaces.
Chris brings over 30 years of multi-disciplined design experience for a variety of projects, including multi-million square foot mixed-use projects, historic building renovations, high-rise office buildings and sports facilities around the world. Chris leads Clayco’s wholly-owned design firm subsidiary, Forum Studio, and is responsible for all design and business leadership and ensures that our clients receive the best possible design and engineering solutions for their most complex projects.
As president of Clayco Realty Group, Chris is in charge of guiding the Clayco Realty Group team in the areas of industrial, commercial and multi-family developments across the United States. Chris has an established background in identifying and delivering valuable real estate development opportunities. Using his experience in the political and financial markets, Chris works to create robust financing packages utilizing federal, state and local incentive packages and working closely with financial institutions to the maximum benefit of the client. During his 15 years of real estate development experience, Chris has contributed to the development and construction of over $500 million in commercial property.
Joe leads one of the nation’s largest providers of tilt-up concrete services and draws on over 30 years of experience managing some of the largest tilt-up concrete projects in the country. He collaborates with project teams to deliver the best possible concrete services that provide the highest quality outcomes and cost-effective solutions without sacrificing safety and adherence to schedule.
