Clayco is building an 800,000-square-foot distribution facility for Longs Drug Stores
Corporation, the latest tenant in a new commercial development, KeyStone Pacific Business
Park, located in the San Joaquin Valley east of the San Francisco Bay area.
When
complete in summer 2006, the Longs Drugs distribution center will represent an investment
of approximately $55 to $60 million. The facility is located at 2400 Keystone Pacific
Parkway in Patterson, Calif. The Walker Companies is the owner representative and project
developer.
"We chose Clayco for our new warehouse facility because of its experience
with fast-track, design-build warehouse facilities," said Joe Smoliga, vice president of
logistics for Longs Drug Stores. "When we complete this project, it will support our goal
of doubling the amount of front-end merchandising that we self distribute."

Ceres, Calif.; Ajit S. Randhava & Associates, structural engineer, La Mirada, Calif.;
Rex Moore , electrical design builder, Fresno, Calif.; Bay Air Systems, mechanical
design builder, Concord, Calif.; Pike Plumbing, plumbing design builder, Bakersfield,
Calif.; and Shambaugh and Sons, fire protection design builder, Fort Wayne, Ind.
