CLAYCO BUILDING WAREHOUSE FOR FIRST INDUSTRIALPre-cast panel/structural steel warehouse going up in Romulus, Michigan

Clayco is building a 302,832-square-foot speculative warehouse in Romulus, a suburb of Detroit. The one-story building is scheduled for completion in spring 2006 at a cost of approximately $9.3 million.

First Industrial Realty Trust Inc. is developing the 20-acre industrial park site at 27651 Hildebrandt in Romulus. The pre-cast panel and structural steel cross dock building was designed by Harris Architects of Palatine, Ill. It will feature 30-foot-high clear height space and 40 dock doors with a potential for 106 dock doors, making it suitable for a variety of tenants or potential buyers. The building is available for one to eight tenants.

"We chose Clayco because of its extensive experience designing and building warehouse and industrial space," said John Borkgren, AIA, NCARB, director of construction services for First Industrial Realty Trust and spokesman for the project owners.
